AI meets Outcome Harvesting: Key insights and resources from our Causal Pathways Coffee Break
💡Last week, we (Steve and Gabriele) and Heather Britt were joined by over 120 colleagues from around the world for an engaging Coffee Break session hosted by the Causal Pathways Initiative. We explored how AI-assisted causal mapping can enhance Outcome Harvesting analysis, uncovering interrelationships between outcomes and identifying new actors driving change.
During the talk, we shared insights from our pilot project, which demonstrated the value of combining AI tools with principle-led analysis plans and expert human interpretation. We also discussed practical tips for leveraging AI responsibly in causal mapping processes, emphasising ethics, security, and quality assurance.
The participants asked lots of questions, thanks!
For those who missed it, you can learn more about our learnings and access the case study and slides via the Causal Pathways Coffee Breaks page and check out the recording here.
We have also created a newsletter to share updates on using AI with OH like this. Anyone interested in learning more can sign-up here.
Looking forward to continuing these conversations and exploring new ways to enhance causal mapping with AI!
