Where can AI help your team, and where should it stay out? We review your research or evaluation workflow with you, step by step, from transcription and document triage through coding and synthesis to reporting. You get a plan showing what to automate, what to assist, and what to keep fully human.

Advice on data protection, provider and region choices, and what to write down. We publish our own AI compliance statement and ethical principles, and we can help you draft yours.Why us
We advise from practice. We build and run AI research tools ourselves: Causal Map, which uses AI to code causal links in qualitative data at scale with human review, and QualiaInterviews, which conducts AI-led qualitative interviews. We have worked on qualitative analysis projects with organisations including UNICEF, IFRC, Save the Children, and universities worldwide.
That experience cuts both ways: we know what AI does well in research and evaluation, and we know where it fails, so our advice includes telling you when the answer is “don’t”.
How we work
1. Talk. A free call about your team, your workflow, and what you hope AI can do for you.
2. Scope. We review your workflow together and agree which steps to assist, what success looks like, and how output will be checked.
3. Build and train. We set up the tools or pipelines, train your team to run them, and document the method so you can defend it to reviewers, commissioners, and ethics boards.
Costs
AI integration work is billed at the same daily rate as our consultancy. A workflow review is typically a few days’ work; larger builds take longer. Email us to talk through your project.
