How we work

We join your analytical team. You bring the research questions and the data; we bring the causal mapping method and the tools. We work with you from scoping through to interpretation, not just deliver a report and walk away.

For large datasets (hundreds of interviews or documents), we use Causal Map’s AI coding to extract causal links at scale, with human review throughout. For smaller projects, we code manually. Either way, you get a visual report showing what your stakeholders say causes what, where they agree, and where they differ.

What we offer

Causal data analysis — We code your interviews, transcripts, and reports using Causal Map. You get interactive maps, key findings, and supporting evidence trails.

Theory of change testing — We map your intended impacts against what the evidence actually shows. Where does the theory hold? Where does it break down?

Evidence synthesis — We synthesise findings across multiple studies or data sources. We identify consensus and disagreement between sources, visually.

How it works

1. Scope — We discuss your research questions, data, and timeline. Together we define the coding framework and analysis scope.

2. Code — You send your documents (anonymised as needed). We code the causal links using Causal Map, with AI assistance where appropriate and human oversight throughout.

3. Analyse and report — We deliver a visual report with interactive maps, findings, and recommendations. We present the results and support your interpretation.

Projects range from a single day to several weeks depending on data volume and complexity.
